I don't think that it is the result of careful consideration, but a sort of herd mentality. Many of those guys shoot to very rigid guidelines with little flexibility. They also are unbelievably concerned with how long their deathless images will last, without regard to the fact that of all color films, Kodachrome has the shortest life when projected. But still, it was their lifeblood. Bill Pearce
