Rabiner an eminent neurologist who invented the Rabiner Hammer which they hit you on the knee with to test your reflex during a typical medical exam. Though there are a few others to choose from by now. http://www.med-psych.net/reflex/babinski.html It was a modification of Babinski of France's hammer in which you could take off the round head and attach it two ways. During a typically staid neurological medical meeting in Vienna in 1920 they had it out on the floor in a humorous story that is all over the medical internet. Its rare these meetings get anywhere near that level of excitement. When I was a kid whenever I had a cough or anything my grandfather got out his hammer out of his top pocket. Tested a number of my reflexes. Most kids don't get that. -------------------- Mark William Rabiner > From: Bharani Padmanabhan <scleroplex at gmail.com> > Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Date: Sun, 20 Feb 2011 08:25:42 -0500 > To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Subject: [Leica] the rabiner for 14 bucks > > http://www.flickr.com/photos/scleroplex/5461405612/ > > happy weekend :-) > bharani > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
