Focusing seemed fast enough under the usual horrible convention lighting. Not a fan of EVF personally but it was easy enough to see in the finder. The optical finder is bright and reminds me of an Electro or Hi-Matic type of display. Build seems solid, not a full metal jacket but the grip feels comfortable. Like any digital if you are no familiar with the menu system it will take a little while to understand everything. I can't recall any other P&S with a leaf shutter able to synch at 1/4000th sec. - even Hassy only synchs at 1/500th sec. and the ever loved Konica Hexar only 1/250th sec. I'd love to try this camera out with some Pocketwizards at a wedding reception. Ya listening Fuji?? Will be interesting to see the CMOS sensor in low light as Fuji always did well in low light with their CCD's. I'm sure LR3 with update for the Fuji X100. I think it was 2 months before they updated when the Olympus Micro 4/3rds RAW came out.
