Frame and focus with the back standard at dead center, then move it down 25mm and over to the left 50mm. Then 5 shots across, left to right (@ 25m increments), up 25mm and 5 shots across right to left, then up 25mm more and 5 shots across again L to R. Lots of overlap which helps CS5 stitch. The Mac Pro seems to handle it like a hot knife through butter. I did however blow out a 32GB card as I bracketed each shot +/- 1stop as well as took a Lens Calibration Correction shot for each position... 3 different series :-) The file is too big to save as a .tif or .psd; have to use this thing in CS5 called Large Document Format. It's when you start adding layers that all hell breaks loose. Thanks for the kind comments George. Glad you enjoyed, Bob Bob Adler Palo Alto, CA http://www.rgaphoto.com ________________________________ From: George Lottermoser <imagist3 at mac.com> To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> Sent: Sat, March 5, 2011 5:23:42 PM Subject: Re: [Leica] IMGs: Yosemite - A stormy weekend Spectacularly crafted photographs Bob. Kudos! to you for your technical and aesthetic discipline. 15 stitched p45+ image files? You must have a super computer for that work. Are you moving the back on the "film plane?" (I so want a back to do that) Regards, George (from iPad) On Mar 5, 2011, at 1:49, Bob Adler <rgacpa at yahoo.com> wrote: > Well the storm in Yosemite was much worse than anticipated.
