Because of this there is no exposure lock, as you do not have a single point to lock onto. By definition the computer program makes the exposure from an average of all levels in the 5 zones used by the camera. You can lock on to a single value only in spot mode. This is the same even if you use a Nikon, Canon, Sony etc. The R9 manual explains this quite clearly. On mine, only the spot and average metering work with the exposure lock, i.e. locks the exposure when I push to the 2nd pressure point.
