Hi Jim,

Several people used to raise those goats in Middle Tennessee.  I've seen 
several articles on them, which concluded that they are missing something in 
their makeup, causing a temporary paralysis whenever a loud sound occurs. 
Afterwards, they hop up and are just fine.
