My current desktop was bought in June of 2005, and is still going strong. My wife uses a refurb from August 2002. While I had grandkids in college, I bought at least three for them, with no serious problems. I understand that Dell went through a bad period, but seem to have learned from that. When in need of a new machine, I will probably look at their offerings first.
