Hi Alan,
Very interesting indeed! I've had the first rain drops on the windshield 
kind of look like this and tried to shoot it, but I usually end up with 
drops having run down the glass and broke up the perfect drops. :-( But I've 
never caught rain with such sharp distinction! Good on you! :-)
