The film slips out about 70% of the time, so I start winding with the bottom off and if it slips, I redo it. I close the back and place the bottom on after I wind a frame to be sure its staying on and is tight. It slips off if the film is loose on the takeup, as it is if the film slips a bit when you begin to wind the first time. -- Chris Crawford Fine Art Photography Fort Wayne, Indiana 260-486-2581 http://www.chriscrawfordphoto.com My portfolio http://blog.chriscrawfordphoto.com My latest work! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Christopher-Crawford/48229272798 Become a fan on Facebook On 3/27/11 1:26 AM, "Alan Magayne-Roshak" <amr3 at uwm.edu> wrote: > On Sat, 26 Mar 2011 Jim Shulman <jshulman at judgecrater.com>wrote: > >> Has anyone else had multiple problems with the Leica quick-load system? > >> I recently acquired an M4, and have wound up trashing about a half-dozen >> rolls of film (and far too many lost shots) because the &^%$#@! film had >> not >> advanced.
