It is much better in B&W. On my monitor the faces in the color version are
quite dark. So much so that I have to turn up the brightness and lower the
contrast to see them clearly. In the B&W version you managed to get them
illuminated just as if light was reflected off the book page. A minor change
but one that makes a lot of difference in the overall effect. A very good
photo.
