Usually there isn't even anyone at the Main or back gate. My guess is part of the increased patrols is caused by all Highway 1 traffic trying to get to LA is now detoured through the Fort. Hopefully in time they will chill and things will get back to the old "normal". Must be a green heron you can become friends with somewhere else? ;-) Bob Adler Palo Alto, CA http://www.rgaphoto.com ________________________________ From: Doug Herr <wildlightphoto at earthlink.net> To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> Sent: Sat, April 23, 2011 8:12:20 PM Subject: Re: [Leica] IMGs: Day Trip Ending on the Coast Bob Adler wrote: >So at about 10:30 I headed west to Fort Hunter Liggett, an old Army Reserve >base. *#@! Sorry to hear about the hassles. I guess the cooperative Green Heron there that I've heard of is out of the question.
