If you don't want to spend too much, then get the 35-70/4 - very good lens and a real bargain. The 28-70 Sigma wasn't that bad though - just not stellar. Just to give you an idea of the 28-70 Sigma ROM lens, this is one of my favourite shots - Oscar Peterson in his last concert in the UK - 28-70 Sigma set at 70 on the DMR and cropped. http://topoxforddoc.zenfolio.com/p932527649/h1ebc48ec#h1ebc48ec Best wishes, Charlie Chan Cheltenham, UK topoxforddoc at btinternet.com www.cancer-surgeon.co.uk www.charlie-chan.co.uk On 25 Apr 2011, at 22:53, mehrdad wrote: > you might also take a look @ the 28-90, it is in my opinion one the best > zoom lenses made and the best for r, even when compared to the 35-70/2.8 > > it handles well, sharp > > On Mon, Apr 25, 2011 at 2:29 PM, <grduprey at mchsi.com> wrote: > >> Stan, >> >> I have the original Sigma 28-70 Zoom for the Leica R.
