That means reinstalling everything, but at least I'm starting with a clean slate. Thank goodness I'm using Google Chrome and still have all of my e-mails, calendars, etc. available in the cloud. I've managed to install Photoshop and Lightroom and Breezebrowser and those are the programs I work with every day. So far, so good. Thanks for the suggestions! I'm turning off automatic updates.
