I called Leica New Jersey, and they said the lens had to be sent back to be disassembled to repair the tab. He seemed unimpressed at the miracle that I had found the tab in the debris of Canal Street. I thought about it, and decided that using Gorilla Super-glue would not mar the lens. I know that it is not a permanent fix, and I need to be watchful, but it worked, and one day, when they lens really needs service, I'll get it done correctly. For now, it is not noticeable, it works, and cost far less than a repair plus shipping two ways. -- Regards, Sonny http://sonc.com/look/ Natchitoches, Louisiana USA
