This appeared ( in German) from the LUF 

As translated by Babylon.....

"The test for the LEICA M8 Firmware will also be completed by the end of
this week, so that even here in the next few weeks with the publication can
be expected."

There was also a Red Corner Betatest fix for the M9, that had a similar
comment.
