The only limitation is that I won't be able to "get my buns and get it on a roll real quick...". I'll have to chance it I guess as I'm still working full time so that I can continue to buy more equipment. I have found over the years that the more expensive the equipment, the better the images are... ;-) ;-) Seriously though I think this is a great idea (making the book, that is). If the tourism offices come chasing then that's just an added bonus. I'm hoping to continue this theme and, next summer, publish the book through a course at Stanford taught by a pro photographer on self-publishing. Having come up with the idea, you will get the first signed copy. So be patient with me and keep letting me know which ones are book worthy and which I should edit out; that would be a great help from everyone in this group. Thanks again for the wonderful idea Dr.! Get a few more benches equal or better and you may well find some kind of funding available from west coast State tourism offices. Or other "art funding" organizations. Washington, Oregon, California and once you have those states done, you might have a shot at the East coast or around the Gulf of Mexico. Then a wild shot at walk ways along the coast lines of the Great Lakes. But there's probably an endless number of like locations on the west coast for a stand alone book itself!! So what are you waiting for? Get yer buns out there as we want to see a book! :-) I'm serious! But you need a dozen or so finished images about 13X19 in size to get it rolling when you show the concept to a publisher. Certainly a west coast publisher who could see this as a great book for the tourism market. So OK does this mean we now have "TWO PHOTOS" to trade? " :-) I have seen very interesting and well selling books already published... "Outhouses of Nova Scotia" "Door's" Both of these are more than interesting photography using simple subjects, but nothing to touch your "Benches!" This photograph is as magical as the first, if not more so and I'm quite serious of the book potential! Now this book concept is out there in the great cyber world, I'd bet if you don't move yer buns and get it on a roll real quick..... "YOU WILL FIND SOMEONE ELSE WENT RIGHT AT IT AND LEFT YOU BEHIND!" :-( And if that happens their material wont hold a candle to your beautiful images! Besides you've got hopefully great summer weather ahead of you, so make it a project every awaking moment you can! Cheers, ted _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
