Souping B&W film is not that time consuming. With Kodak HC-110 (Dilution B),
I see the images in 8 minutes. With XP2, it's even easier. I leave the roll
at the lab before lunch; I get my negs, CD with 36-38 high resolution images
after lunch.

As I do not have to be concerned about colour, B&W images are easily sorted
and tweaked with my Aperture software. Cropping, burning and dodging, and
just a few minor corrections are all that's needed. The lab that scans my
films evicts all the scratch marks and dust during digitizing.

Through this process of hybrid photography, I am still able to retain the
use of my M6 and whatever film cameras (including my Rollie TLRs) that I
have. I hope that my economics and long term bang on the buck are right to
park my money into buying quality prime lenses instead of splurging my
shekels on digital cameras.

Thanks for the thumbs up in favour of XP2. The lab that I go to is of decent
standard with their film processing service and that should add some mileage
to the film's longevity.
