Glad I didn't throw out my 12-24mm or a few other 1.5 crop DX glass but I have a feeling Nikons not going to go there. We'll see if anyone else than Sigma does as I'm betting they have patents. The idea of a shift down in acreage to compete with medium format is of course fascinating. I'm dying to see some test results. What if they did this three layer thing on a full fram sensor? 30 grand? I'm slightly skeptical. You'd have thought they'd release some test results along with this announcement. Its like saying thy have a a flying submarine but won't let anyone see it. It beats the other submarines by going in the air. Yea sure well lets see it.
