it's always weird to see tall trees with short roots.
eucalyptus trees are equally bad and one fell right next to our house
over the volley ball court in the middle of a game!
these folks had a very lucky escape.

The Overholser Mansion was built in 1903; it is now a historical site in our
neighborhood in Oklahoma City. This happened a couple of nights ago, and
this morning it was actually cool enough for me to walk over to see it
(about 4 blocks from our house):
