Long established no doubt Doug but I hope that this gets more attention.
In the Middle East in particular propaganda has long made effective use of
this. As Nathan noted we are very largely shown one side of that conflict
(in Australian media anyway and I guess the rest of the West) to the
detriment of the Israelis.
Out of interest, take a look at the current reporting from Libya for
improbably dramatic images, in this case showing the liberators.
