Hi Howard,

No, I shoot hand held 95% of the time myself.  I was just wondering.  ;)  
Some of my best shots are hh at 1/12 of a second at night.

Hi Gene,
You have sharp eyes - it was handheld. Does this mean I have to haul a  
tripod around now? I hope not. :-(
Part of the night glow around the neon signs may also be from light de- 
fraction due to suspended particulates in our famously polluted air.
