My own father was more earthbound, spending the years 1943-1945 fighting his way from Western Russia to Bernau, 30 km from Berlin, where he was the day the war ended, 8th May 1945. Here is a portrait of him, taken some time in 1944 or 1945, still during the war: http://www.greatpix.eu/Other/My-fathers-pictures/16536415_t4kNxD#1581195883_bm6JVZm-O-LB and an a propos project by Brian David Stevens: http://driftingcamera.blogspot.com/p/they-that-are-left.html Cheers, Nathan Nathan Wajsman Alicante, Spain http://www.frozenlight.eu http://www.greatpix.eu http://www.nathanfoto.com PICTURE OF THE WEEK: http://www.fotocycle.dk/paws Blog: http://nathansmusings.wordpress.com/ YNWA
