Couldn't you just tilt the 'pod? The answer comes the moment you "use" a mono pod. There are many fine adjustments one must make depending on whether you're standing, crouching, kneeling, etc. At times it's best to have the pod angling towards your body. In essence you're creating a tripod with your legs (or at times your butt).
