Tried WD-40? If you get it too loose, just add a bit of duct tape.

Anyone have tricks to fix a stick CL meter?

It sticks in high light.

Is there a magical place to place a drop of solvent?

Seems very very easy to pop the necessary lids to get at things, but boy 
is it congested once you get into it.
