[Leica] IMGs - Ibiza

Dear All,

I am pleased that you like these photos.  This was an important trip for me
as I spent eight years of my childhood on Ibiza and Formentera and had not
been back for 45 years!  I went back with a feeling of doom, anticipating
that all of what I remembered had been destroyed.  Much had, and the island
has changed forever; however, if you are prepared to get up early or walk
over the mountains you can still experience glimpses of what the island
was.  What amazed me was that I met people that I knew as a child and they
immediately recognised me - I felt at home, though I did have to delve into
my mental archaeology to find traces of Ibecenco, the local dialect of
Catalan.
