I agree, totally.  Most of the "fine art" photographers that win top prizes
and get lots of notice in galleries and magazines have resorted to a
"gimmick" of some kind to get recognition.  Pure documentary photography is
not valued by most of our society today.

Sour grapes for sure on my part.  ;-)
