Subject: [Leica] M9 tests

Well, I went and did it to myself this time: A simple camera test has
camera lust. I was able to get a loaner M9, along with a 21mm
Summilux, to test for a few days. With the Detroit auto show opening,
also known as the North American International Auto Show, I loaded up
the M9 to see if it is something I could live without. I've been an M8
owner and user nearly since the camera was introduced, and other than
the crop sensor, I have no problems with the camera. But the M9 has
widened my eyes a bit further...the full-frame sensor does make a
difference, and the larger files are nice to work with. My only real
issue with the camera is that I kept filling up the buffer while
shooting the cars on the stands. Seven frames and I was left waiting.
This seems way worse than in the M8...granted, the files are larger,
but it was one thing that I really didn't like about the camera. But
certainly not a deal-breaker.

All are shot with a 28mm Elmarit, except where noted.
