You said it!  I love wide openings.  I figure, if you're going to shoot at 
f/16, you might as well use a box camera.  ;~)
I miss the precision focusing of a rangefinder in my job.  Even though we 
have some prime lenses, I find auto focus to be fiddly compared to RF.  In 
the film era at work, especially with Leicas, I used to use as slow a film 
as possible to make use of optimum f/stops, for example using Panatomic-X 
for outdoor assignments in sunlight at f/4 and 1/500.  With the f/1.2, I can 
load my M3 with FP4 rated at 80 and be ready day and night, and not have to 
stop down past f/8.  If I ever get a digital M, the faster shutter speeds 
will be nice.
