The comments from the medical practioners at the time were all related to how they were going to help a/o make life easier. None of them addressed the issues of misdiagnosis that each and every one of them had. My Dad was an airline tranport rated pilot and went in every 6 mos for a medical. No one caught it until the point where he actually lived for 60 days past diagnosis. My Mother was treated for 2 years for pneumonia, bronchitis etc before being diagnosed with breast cancer that had metasitized in the meantime - she lasted 60 days. On and on. My opinion of the medical profession when it comes to cancer is very poor. Budgets are another one that bother me. Here in Canada we raise billions every year and have done so very publicly since 1980 and yet we are no closer to diagnosing cancer --- never mind curing it. After looking into things I find that the researchers each set up their own little feifdoms, fail to coordinate results but still claim they are 'underfunded'. Sorry for the rant but these discussions just finally get to me....
