I went to a LHSA Boston meeting that year and everyone had them on their cameras. One guy LUG lurker brought his with a uv filter on it just to piss me off. We had Leica with Noctilux stacking on the table during dinner and drinks. People still smoked then I remember ash trays in the pictures I took of that.
