It not like 3ok has never existed in the world in anyone's bank account to obtain something it depends on what somebody has established a priority to get. In my case my first priority is photography. Its also my second. I'm sued to when I stared out my food money going to film. I don't need a car anymore I've sold mine I take public transportation now and rent cars. Lots of people here in this list I suspect have 30k. They just have other things they'd rather spend it on. Me if I had that kind of money on hand I'd get the S2 system started with a camera and a lens. People can afford what they care to "afford". If you wanted a high end digital medium format camera enough you'd sell your house and get one. Mainly the phrase "I can't afford it " is meaningless. If you sat out all day with a cup filled with pencils NOT coming home with an S2 the next day you're off the hook. By the way an S2 at B&H cost $22,995.00 and a normal lens is $4,995.00. So I don't know where 40 k comes from.
