Easy enough to check just search engines for 35mm Summilux FLE and see how many hits you get. Pebbleplace thinks its part of the name Rockwell knows better and say's its not an FE floating element in a lens. But a Floating Element Group And that makes for an acronym that's not going to be used. http://www.kenrockwell.com/leica/35mm-f14-floating-element.htm We do make fun of Rockwell but he does have a way of nailing things others miss. -- Mark R. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/lugalrabs/winterdays/ > From: John McMaster <john at mcmaster.co.nz> > Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Date: Thu, 8 Mar 2012 09:07:31 +0000 > To: Leica Users Group <lug at leica-users.org> > Subject: Re: [Leica] Probably a silly question.... > > Shorthand for people to know the difference in model, would you rather I > said > that a 11663 was available? > > john > ________________________________________ > > > FLE is Zeiss. > You'll not find it on a Leica box nor on a lens. > Just think of it as "Fleiss". > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
