Hi Nathan,

At the price, it's definitely worth a punt! :-)
I'm pleased that it sorted out the banding problem for you.  The 
software appears to do some pretty sophisticated 'stuff' and I haven't 
sat down and explored all of the options that there are.

Interestingly, I think Hugin also does 'stacking', which might be handy 
for increasing DOF with macro shots.
