If you do not use the batch mode, the engine used with your old LR3 images will be LR3.... only those you elect to convert MAY give problems..... So there is seems to be little risk in installing LR4, unless you do something (stupid) yourself..... OTOH, I am perpetually being beaten up for stating that you should never be the first guy to use a new FW, SW version or application... let some one else use it first..... Frank Filippone Red735i at earthlink.net As normally happens, LR4 is installed along side the earlier version, it doesn't replace it. I don't use custom tone curves (butno doubt others do) . LR3 and its catalog is still available to me on my computers.
