Underexposure may account for some of the flatness you see in those scans. Again, check with the lab to see if their scanning machine has a channel for CN. It is not the same channel as Ilford's XP2, since Kodak has the orange mask and XP2 does not. You might want to give XP2 a try while you are playing, because it is a pretty nice film too.
