Dante,

Well, when I last shot in Peru (Lima, Cuzco and *Machu Picchu) I took 2
slr's, 3 zooms and a couple of primes and a tripod and hundreds of rolls of
film. The hike up *Huayna
Picchu<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huayna_Picchu>just about did me
in. Today, I would take my M9, 28aa, 50aa and the Nocti
with 2 batteries. I might miss my dslr with the 70-200 but there would be
other shots to be had, can't get them all you know.

Be sure to spend several days in Cuzco to aclimatize. And spend several
days staying at Aguas
Calientes<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aguas_Calientes,_Peru>
(or at the hotel at the
ruins<http://www.sanctuarylodgehotel.com/web/omac/machu_picchu.jsp>)
so that you can make multiple trips to the ruins. Drink lots of *mate de
coca <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca_tea>*.
