Unless you are trying to float the camera under a child's party balloon what difference does 130g make? Yes the wide angle use does suffer under the M8 if you want a fast 28mm equivalent :-( john -----Original Message----- Lower weight = better....that is a criteria I have established....and the dominant driver F1.4 is preferred... but..... a more WA lens is also preferred.... which makes the choice between the 35 ASPH Summilux and 28 Summicron a tough call... Stats: 28 Summicron = 256g 35 ASPH Lux= 307g ( per ken Rockwell, who was the easiest to get this info from) My ideal lens? 28 Summilux.... as if I could afford it... at a weight of 250-300g... as if it were that weight... Dreaming on...... Yes, I could use a higher ISO and some noise reduction SW, but I already plan on doing that.....1 stop faster is better because it allows for 1 shutter speed faster.... Frank Filippone Red735i at earthlink.net Both the 35mm Summilux asph and 28mm Summicron are lenses which are hard to beat....
