Two downsides though: - the VF is (very) hard to use for accurate focusing - the auto aperture doesn't work so it's either hit or miss if shooting wide open, or a tripod, or nothing if you close down - I mean first focus then close down here. OTT the ISO capability of the body might help with the longer 100mm Paradoxically the lens performed better on the 4/3 L1 where in addition it turned to react as a 120mm. Perhaps is it ok on a cropped D7000 or so? I DK. Hope this helps even if it is not a straight answer to your initial question.
