Thanks everyone for looking and commenting. I,too, think the first one of
Semli was far better, and posted this as one more example of a beautiful
spot within the park - it is one end of a large waterhole called
"Adidaant".

Nathan, No I have not taken many wide open, because there was no cause to
do so in Ranthambhore, and also because I was mainly using the 18mm. I plan
to experiment with the 60mm in the next few days, and will post some
examples next week of that lens wide open. I generally use wide open
settings only when I take portraits, or in low light - otherwise I
generally stop down in most of my photography. As a matter of fact when
shooting wildlife, I am continuously struggling with insufficient depth of
field with long lenses most of the time.

Akhil, The shots were taken hand held and later stitched together in
Photoshop and then cropped. I do not think that Fuji has released the Leica
M adapter as yet - in any case I do not have one, and do not really foresee
using M lenses because the Fuji lenses, I feel, are more than good. Whether
I get an M adapter or not will depend on the price (-: As   I mentioned in
an earlier message, this is very close to my idea of an ideal street
shooting kit - an autofocus rangefinder type body with 3 excellent lenses.
The only other lens I would probably buy is something wider than 28mm - say
a 21mm equivalent or so.

Adam, You got it, because Fuji, in this camera at least, have a mode called
"Film Simulation" and my setting was Velvia - corresponds to the Camera
Profile setting of Vivid in Nikon.
