An injured Golden Eagle, rescued near Monterey California, had to have part 
of his wing amputated in order to survive so he can't be released to the 
wild.  This bird is responding well to training for public education.

Other rescued non-releasable raptors at this facility foster orphaned 
babies, help calm newly-rescued birds, and help train releasable rescued 
hawks for re-introduction to the wild.
