So, what I said is follow the big boys - buy Leica equity now, sell two/three years hence, just before they do! Blackstone has to exit at some point, even if Kaufmann does not. I just went through the samples on dpreview. There is nothing over ISO 1600 there, so I could not gauge low light performance compared (roughly) to a Fuji X-Pro 1 or a Nikon D700/D800E, all of which I own and shoot with. I could not see anything that a Fuji X-Pro 1 system and Silver Efex 2 cannot achieve at a fraction of the price. So what gives? Euphoria apart, what are the advantages that a US$8000 B&W camera body bring to the party? Seriously, I really do not understand why anyone should buy this beast. Anything obvious I am missing?
