You are getting twice the real resolution. And I'd imagine they will be selling a lot fewer of these than the regular M9. I was surprised that the cost difference was so small. OTOH, the price of the new Summicron 50mm is absolutely mind boggling. It costs nearly twice as much as the Summilux, and more than thrice the "old" Summicron. The MTF curve is jaw-dropping awesome, however, and it combined with the M Monochrom would be a formidable competition against a lot of "medium" format digital cameras, let alone a 4x5 silver halide camera.
