Under no circumstances should you put film in your checked baggage!!
 Checked baggage is subjected to a level of radiation that would totally
cook any film, not just high speed.  Besides, anything in your checked
baggage is also subject to theft.  Carry everything important on board with
you.  Learn to pack light.  Use digital.  That's the reality for travel
today.
