Maybe next year if all goes well I'll be able to complete the tour as earlier planned for this year. :-( However, all you folks have me wondering why I should go and explain how to take / make interesting photographs. :-) Given what we've seen by all the shooters! So far the out put of each and everyone on the cruise has given me a "nice feeling of goose bumps for the quality in varying degrees!" :-) Basically I have no problem with each as it appears everyone did a smashing great job in their selection of posted pictures!" Certainly illustrates everyone had a great picture taking time! :-) :-) cheers, ted > Hi Luggers, > Thanks for your comments on previous postings both on and off the list. > Here is more of the Yukon and White Pass story. >>From the dock at Skagway, elevation 0, the line > rises 2,865 feet in 20.4 miles to the White Pass Summit. > > Here is Esther's picture of the entrance to Tunnel Mountain > > http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Howard+Cummer/WPYTrain/ETunelshedw.jpg.html > > http://tinyurl.com/7fm79su > > And here is the exit from the other side of the tunnel; > > http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Howard+Cummer/WPYTrain/Tunnelswishw.jpg.html > > http://tinyurl.com/7hcc3ob > > I talked to the conductor before getting on the train and he gave me the > tip to a) walk to the car next to the locomotive so that on the ride up > you have the best view of the tail back. > Then when the loco shifts to the other end of the train you are in the > last car on the way day.
