Cheers, Gene ----- Original Message ----- From: "H&E Cummer" <cummer at netvigator.com> To: lug at leica-users.org Sent: Sunday, June 24, 2012 12:38:37 PM GMT -06:00 US/Canada Central Subject: [Leica] Hummers - grand jete and CU Hello Luggers, Well, the hummers are back in force and this time I was ready for them with the GH2 fitted with the 100 - 300 zoom. Here's the first one - a long shot taken at 300mm f5.6, 1/500 (not nearly fast enough to stop wing action) and ISO 3200. I like the position of the hummer, like a ballet dancer preparing for a grand jete. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Howard+Cummer/Canada2012/HoveringHumw.jpg.html http://tinyurl.com/779qfdh Here is the second picture as the hummer flew to the hanging basket just outside the window where I was sitting. Fortunately I had spot metering on so that I could recover some detail from the back lighting. http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/Howard+Cummer/Canada2012/HumCUw.jpg.html http://tinyurl.com/7xjabye Please look large, C&C always welcome Howard _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
