They don't get any lighter after you use them up either. I carried mine up and down many mountains and wore out one pair of knees. You also have to do your best to keep the film cool and dry and un-xrayed and be paranoid about somebody stealing it all along with all of your work. I would never go back to carrying film when I can carry a tiny card instead.
