Even on those trips, I continued to use them until I got back home and sent them to NJ. Leica repaired them under warranty and I've never had another problem. I sent one M8 in to be upgraded to the M8.2 or whatever it was with a better LCD screen and all kinds of stuff. It's a fine camera. You can read many accounts of people sending photos back to be repaired on all of the photo sites on the internet. I think it's a case of only those who are dissatisfied are complaining. If you are happy with your camera, you're going to be out taking photos, not complaining on the internet!!
