:-) It wasn't hard.
The book is closer than  you know! See chapter 10 of Midnight in the
Garden. Lee was my uncle (died a few months ago, actually). Big Emma was
Lee's mother in law, little Emma is my aunt. Leopold Adler was my great
grandfather (in one of the graveyard pics I posted).

I have a couple of antiques we bought from John Williams. Most everyone in
the book I knew and grew up with their kids, who grew up to be just like
their parents.

So it wasn't hard to leave; Savannah or San Francisco... hmmm ;-)
