When a high shutter speed is used and props/blades are frozen, the image becomes static and fake looking. I am always surprised when people don't get this. It reminds me of people who once complained about the newly implemented VR/IS systems because they were worthless because they didn't stop subject motion. That simply told me that they were not ones whose photos would be worth a look. -----Original Message----- From: Jim Nichols Sent: Tuesday, July 31, 2012 4:45 PM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] IMG: Airport July 31 Hi Bill, I just about quit worrying about blurring chopper blades, because the RPM is so low. I agree, 1/125 is good for most airplane props. I have done it right a couple of times http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/Arrival+of+Experimental+Aircraft.jpg.html http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/OldNick/Departure+79.jpg.html Thanks for commenting.
