Unfortunately finding benches with a bit of character is not easy as we're getting the impression the national parks have replaced theirs with low maintenance simply design ones some of which perhaps we've been seeing. Another artist might go with just going out and collecting images of benches themselves without the view they preside over as you're doing. And of course most go with the view without the bench. Me I'm putting a "bench" keyword into my little folder of captures with a collection so I can hit the button and see what's' there on the fly. I'm more into shooting the benches themselves and outdoor chairs.
